A Comprehensive Approach to Consulting
Ge•ol•o•gy
The science that deals with the dynamics and physical history of the earth, the rocks of which it is composed, and the physical, chemical, and biological changes that the earth has undergone or is undergoing.
Engineering geology services include:
-
Landslide hazard
-
Seismic risk
-
Erosion control
-
Sediment transport
-
Coal mine hazard assessments
-
Mineral resource evaluation
-
Geologic mapping
AESI incorporates an in-depth knowledge of regional geology with multidisciplinary expertise to provide comprehensive geologic assessments in environmental geology, mineral resources, and geologic hazards. Our geologic assessments proceed with a clear understanding of our clients’ requirements and provide regulatory agencies with the information needed for streamlined project review. This allows projects to proceed on schedule and allows design changes to be approved in a timely manner as the project develops. AESI’s detailed geologic assessments typically result in reduced regulatory requirements and oversight, thus enhancing the feasibility and economics of the project.
Construction in the Puget Sound Basin creates a large demand for bulk, nonmetallic minerals, such as sand and gravel, and quarry rock. As the regional growth continues to increase the use of these minerals, the need for new sources or the need to expanding existing sources must continue. AESI provides consultant services for mineral producers to help locate new sources or expand their current operations into proven reserves. We integrate several services to ensure comprehensive geologic and engineering evaluations including:
-
Geologic mapping
-
Subsurface explorations
-
Remote Sensing Evaluations
-
Quantity and Quality testing
