AESI provides construction monitoring services for most projects that we are the geotechnical engineer of record. These services provide quality assurance and quality control for the portions of the project that involve site grading, foundation construction, drainage, utilities and pavement. Earthwork construction monitoring commonly involves observing the placement and testing the compaction of structural backfill, confirmation of foundation soil bearing pressures, documentation of foundation, sub-slab and site drainage, observing the construction of rockeries, retaining walls and pavements and performing site erosion control inspections. AESI provides timely field reports documenting geotechnical-related site activities to ensure that project construction is in accordance with design and submittal documents.
